​Sharks: Surname A - E

Named in honour of Rosemary Lassig – a trailblazing Australian swimmer who brought home silver in the 4×100m medley relay at the 1960 Rome Olympics. A symbol of strength, dedication, and national pride.


Hazzard

Hawks: Surname F - L

Named after Noel Hazzard – a legendary rugby league player of the 1940s and 50s who proudly represented Queensland and Australia. In 2008, he was honoured as a centre in Bundaberg’s Rugby League Team of the Century.

Tallon 

Tigers: Surname M - R

Named after Don Tallon – a world-class wicketkeeper who began his cricket journey in Bundaberg and rose to represent Australia in 21 Test matches. A key member of Don Bradman’s Invincibles, Tallon is remembered as one of the greatest keepers the game has ever seen.


Miles

​Mustangs: Surname S - Z

​​​Named after Thomas John "TJ" Miles – a champion sprinter from Bundaberg who won the prestigious Stawell Gift in 1927 and became World Champion in 1928. A true trailblazer in Australian athletics.
