Our Journey into Innovation at the BOP Industries Hackathon
Today is an exciting day for us, the Year 10 students at Kepnock State High School, as we eagerly attend the BOP Industries Hackathon. This full-day event marks the beginning of our Term 4 Unit, 'Industry Innovators,' and promises to be an enriching experience for all of us.
The BOP Industries Hackathon, conducted in collaboration with a team of innovators from BOP Industries, is designed to nurture our intrapreneurial skills, ideas, and experiences as emerging young professionals and intrapreneurs. The event is taking place right here at our school, creating a dynamic and immersive learning environment.
This unique educational opportunity invites us to work collaboratively in developing youth-led initiatives focused on either retail or mental health, with the aim of benefiting teenagers, schools, and the broader community. Using a user-centered design approach, we will delve into the challenges faced by today's youth, gaining insights into the ever-evolving landscape of various industries.
Throughout the day, we will engage in hands-on activities, in-depth research, and collaborative projects aimed at designing innovative digital solutions, creating supportive community spaces, and developing school-based programs that address the concept of youth intrapreneurship.
