Teaching and learning

Our 2013 Teaching-Learning Audit report indicated considerable improvement since the 2010 Audit. This was further affirmed in our Full School Review which was conducted by an independent review team from the School Improvement Unit in 2015.

The recommendations contained in our School Review Report inform our current 4-Year Strategic Plan 2015-18 and annual improvement plans and we are confident that our school improvement journey will continue for the benefit of our students’ outcomes.

Our Pedagogical Framework has as its foundation Marzano’s ‘The Art and Science o​f Teaching’. Within the ten Design Questions of the framework sit a range of well-researched and effective pedagogical approaches including Essential Skills for Classroom Management, Gradual Release of Responsibility, See Plan Do Check, E.X.P.E.R.T Reading strategies, high order thinking, amongst others.​​​​​​​​​​​​​
