Information & Communication Technology (ICT)

Do you enjoy programming robots, constructing computer games, creating websites and animation?
Information Technology (IT) subjects are offered in Years 9 - 12.
The Information and Communication and Technology Education (ICE) course for Years 9 & 10 at Kepnock is innovative and exciting.  The course covers robotics, animation, game design and development, multimedia and web design.
In Years 11&12, students have a choice of Information Processing and Technology (IPT), Information Technology Systems (ITS), Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Certificates I, II and II in IT.
In IPT, students study computer systems and operating systems, concepts of artificial intelligence, introduction to algorithms and programming, introduction to dastabase design, designing and programming computer games, expert systems and neural networks, programming interfaces for softward applications and information systems design and development.
In ITS, students study text, graphic, sound and video formats, typographical principles and techniques, graphics, animation, sound editing, video editing, current trends and influences in the multimedia industry, multimedia design principles and sound and video.  Students also complete a Certificate II in IT while studying ITS.
In ICT, students study on-line communication, animation, digital video, document production, game development, website development, digital still imaging, digital audio and multimedia authoring.
