Kokoda Challenge 2018

                    Date: Friday, June 1 – Sunday, June 3, 2018


                    Location: Brisbane

                    Departure details: Kepnock State High School Hall, 9:00am, Friday, June 1, 2018

                    Return details: Kepnock State High School Hall, 2:00pm, Sunday, June 3, 2018

                    Transportation: Students and staff travel by bus

                    Accomodation: Students and staff will be camping in a facility with appropriate amenities. They will need to supply their own bedding.

                    Dress Code: Clothing is to be casual and appropriate for travelling on Staurday and Monday. For Sunday’s participation in the Kokoda School’s Cup clothing appropriate to bushwalking (shorts/long pants, runners, sun safe shirt, hat) is essential.

                    Essential equipment: Sleeping mat/stretcher; sleeping bag; pillow; towel; comfortable running/trail shoes; sunsafe clothing and hat; waterproof jacket; sunscreen and insect repellent; water bottle; small backpack.

                    Food: Breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be provided during this event. Students are encouraged to bring additional snacks and a small amount of money for food whilst traveling.

                    There is a Medium risk level associated with this activity

                    Students will be traveling, staying and walking as part of a school group supervised by Kepnock State High School staff. The group will also include additional staff working as support crew.

                    It is essential that supervisors are aware of all medical requirements. Please ensure you complete the consent and medical form fully and contact Mrs Nicole Gray if you have any further concerns.​
